Win Student Tickets to MESH!

Mesh Conference co-founder Mark Evans is holding a competition on the Mesh blog for free student Mesh Tickets. All you have to do is email him (mark [at] markevans.ca) a detail as to why you should go to Mesh – in 140 characters (a Twitter post size). Top three? Win!

If you don’t know what Mesh is, it has become the major technology/business conference in Toronto over the past four years. It’s not as casual as a PodCamp type of unconference, but not as formal as a conference like TED. I attended in 2007 as a student volunteer, and was able to take on some great talks by big shots like TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington, early Apply employee and GiveMeaning.com found Tom Williams, and even caught a glimpse of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This year Jason Calcanis and the founders of Kiva.org will be keynoting which should be really interesting. Mesh is a really great balance between that nerdy hands-on with the polished business approach, making the presentations a great hybrid that is tough to pass up. If this sounds interesting, hit up Mark Evans with your 140 characters – the deadline is this Friday March 27, 2009 so act quick!
